For You From A Friend

My friend, Farrah Easter, is a song writer and vocalist, and I was listening to her CD yesterday (cover pictured above). The lyrics below are from a song on her CD, and the song is one of my favorites. I decided to post the lyrics as my blog today and asked Farrah's permission to share. It's message offers us a wonderful reminder of God's sufficient grace. Enjoy and be blessed.

Savin' Grace

A song by Farrah Easter

Verse 1

You knew, before You formed me,

How I would fail You Still chose to find me worthy,

You’ve seen it all through,

My beginning to the end

You chose to wash my sins with Your death

You stretched Your hand out for me

And what did I do?

You paved the way for me

And there’s evidence and proof

But I ran

Chorus 1

Because it’s holding me down

It may be too late for me I’m starting to drown

Buried in my mistakes

Wish I could run to You now

But I’m so ashamed I can’t believe You’d allow A chance for saving grace

Verse 2

Well I’m the God of mercy

I died just for you My death, the point of Calvary,

Was for days like this, too

Forgiveness never ceases

When you repent to me all you do

Renewed you every morning

I go before you

You doubt that I’m so loving, That I’ll keep My word, too. There’s so much to know of Me I hold the world you see in My hands

Chorus 2

I know it’s holding you down But I made a way You’re running around,

Avoiding your mistakes I wish you’d run to Me now You’ll never escape My love My blood has allowed

Some room for saving grace

Bridge

Father, let me remind You of my past (Chose to forget about it. It’s in that Sea, discarded.)

How can You say You don’t remember that? (My love for you is deep and it never, never ceases.)

Oh, is it really that deep? Do You really want to rescue me? And all You want in exchange are these chains?!

Chorus 2

I know it’s holding you down But I made a way You’re running around,

Avoiding your mistakes I wish you’d run to Me now You’ll never escape My love My blood has allowed

Some room for saving grace

(You may purchase her CD at iTunes)
